Bareilly: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Bareilly, is conducting “Mediation Campaign 3.0” under the guidance of the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Supreme Court of India and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow.
The nationwide campaign is being conducted under the leadership of District Judge and Chairman, DLSA Bareilly, Pradeep Kumar Singh. Under the first phase, from August 1 to September 30, 2026, eligible pending cases will be identified, screened for pre-mediation and notices will be issued to the concerned parties.
The main mediation phase will run from October 1 to December 31, 2026. It will cover matrimonial disputes, cases under the Domestic Violence Act, 498A IPC/Section 85 BNS, accident claims, cheque-bounce cases, compoundable criminal cases, consumer disputes, debt recovery, execution matters, arbitration cases, commercial disputes, employment and service matters, property partition, eviction, land acquisition, labour disputes, civil cases and other suitable matters.
The campaign aims to provide speedy, impartial and cost-effective settlements through mutual agreement, avoiding prolonged litigation. Mediation will be available in offline, online and hybrid modes during the 90-day campaign.
Suvarat Pathak, In-charge Secretary, DLSA Bareilly and Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division)-I, appealed to citizens, advocates and social workers to make use of the initiative. He said mediation offers an opportunity to resolve long-pending disputes while preserving relationships through dialogue and mutual understanding.
